Dear RMT2, Thanks for your advise, but I am lost in downloading windows XP SP3. The SP3 is divided into a few section to down load. Automatic downloading instruction cannot be followed. There is no search box when you click start button to type the given instruction. Tanaba

Make sure after installing SP3, you do the MS Windows updates.

Dear RMT2, I saw the file KB936929 at the site. But below the download button Do not download this file if you are updating one computer only. It say to go to another site . At this site there is nothing about SP3. Step by step instruction shows nothing. Is it ok to download that one file KB936929. If it is ok then I will try it out. Thanks for your advice. Tanaba
