program accessing dialup connection

When I start up windows a program starts to dial my internet connection without me telling it to do so. Is there a way I can find out which program it is???

Hi I am not sure but I think this will stop it...click on tools>internet options>connections>select Never Dial A connection.

You could type: "msconfig" into the run box and check out what is getting loaded at startup by the registry. to stop something obviously malicious just uncheck the box next to it. If that doesn't stop the dialing problem just recheck the box. You may also want to use a virus scanner AND a adware scanner of some type. Alot of spy/adware programs try to connect the internet at startup...

By any chance did you just install or do an update to zonealarm. This is a known problem with zonealarm and will be repaired in the next maintenance release.
