XP wouldnt load, so I had to repair windows using the backup registry and copying over the files, SAM, SYSTEM, SECURITY, etc. And now windows will load and seems to be working properly. My problem is, is that all of my desktop icons are gone, and all of my bookmarks for IE, and my user settings. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get that back, or am I out of luck?

Thanks, Jarett

So you didn't actually do an XP Repair? Are the old profiles still in Documents and Settings?
