OS: xp pro
CPU/Ram: celeron 1.7 640MB

I have been trying to run black and white on my computer and i know all about the patches for xp and i have been reading all the forums about the problems. however my problem is far different than any other. when i run the game it starts to boot and then my processor spikes and my computer restarts. i have done all the intel updates and driver updates that i can figure out. please help

It would be normal for the cpu to spike on the load of a program. There is nothing to fix in that regard.

You are only having this issue with this game? Have you looked to the games tech support?

Joe: try for an error message by changing the default restart cycle;

go to Control Panel, System, Advanced tab, Startup and Recovery box, click the Settings button, in System Failure box; uncheck the box marked "Automatically restart".

after you reboot, the next time this happens you should get the BSOD instead of your system restarting.
when this happens you should get information you can use to track down the problem.
