Hello every1!! :D its been a long time since I dont come here... :P OK...I made a program that plays sounds...all it does is call kernel32.dll's Beep() function with the parameters requested by the user... My problem is that my program is NOT working anymore in neither of my 2 WinXP PC's!! :( On one of them (XPSP2) I tried reinstalling the AC'97 drivers that came with it but it didnt work... :( I know its not an error of my program because my friend tried it and it worked... I asked him for his kernel32.dll and he gave it to me, I replaced mine with that one and it didnt work either!! ARGH!!! :@ Hmm...a few days ago, on the XPSP2 machine, NO sound worked...I tried WAV's, MP3's, nothing...and I went to the volume icon in the taskbar and it was grayed out!! :( That got fixed...but my program still doesn't work!! :( What could it be?? a new virus?? a conflict program?? HELP!!! :( Thanx!! ;)
PS: The program works on a Win2k Pro machine (with no soundcard, my program uses system speaker...)
