problems with via rev 5 ?

Hello I Have XP Pro Installed and since this time I have Problems with my usb ports. The Pc perceives no hardware. I first must deinstall the via rev 5 driver and then install the driver again. And then he perceives hardware and I can install this hardware. But if I shut windows down and start again the installed hardware is gone away. I have Installed the latest via chipset drivers and this oproblem is not fixed. please help.
