Problems with remote shutdown

Specs: Windows XP, core 2 2.4/1GB

I have been trying to shutdown a computer remotely but everytime it displays the message 'Access is denied'. Waht should I enable/disable to mange this.

You probably need administrative privileges on the remote machine.

Monsbob, sorta in keeping with what John suggested, what if you create a shutdown shortcut on the remote's desktop and remotely click it?

Another way is to use this.
