I was wondering if it is possible to dual boot with a full version of Windows 98SE and just the Upgrade to XP home edition for the other. I tried following the directions in by putting WIN 98 on first Drive C: and then WIN 98 and XP upgrade on Drive D:. When I went to reboot it did not give me a choice of which OS I wanted to use and went right into XP and boot ini file has XP as the only choice. Can anyone enlighten me to if it is possible with an upgrade and just have to change some info or need the full version. Thanks for the help.

I have both Win98SE and Windows XP Home installed on my computer. My C drive has 2 partitions with WIN98SE installed first. Then I installed the WINXP upgrade on the 2nd partition. All I had to do was put my original WIN98SE disk in the drive when requested. Seems to work well.

Dual Boot using 2 partitions on same HD install 98 into 1st partition (C) from within 98 install XP as a new install into 2nd partition(this is possible with an upgrade XP)It will verify that you have 98 and install itself and create the dual boot. upon reboot you will have the option of which OS toboot.
