I built a system and am having trouble booting from hard drive. I have the P4p800 Deluxe MB. My boot drive is an 80Gb Seagate sata drive. I downloaded the bootdisks from seagate and partitioned/formated the drive and when I finished it said to reboot with winXP CD or bootdisk in for installation. Did that. I don't know where to get the sata drivers at, but I went ahead and push F6 nothing happened. It just start do a bunch of coping and then came up and said windows could not find any hard drive installed.
In my bios this is what I have..... Enhance mode, sata, configure sata as raid, bootrom enabled, and it is set up in my priority boot up.Please give your opinion.
Thanks
Matt Gibbs

Your ASUS board should have come with a floppy disk or cd that has the Onboard controller driver on it. If it is on cd, you will need to copy it to floppy disk. When you are installing windows at the setup screen, it will ask you to press F6 to install third party drivers. Do so, and it should ask you to insert the floppy containing the drivers, insert the floppy disk and choose ICH5 controllers for Windows XP. Also, make sure you set up your Raid configuration (you should be able to press a button configuration during boot to do this) and make your raid drive a boot drive. You should have more luck installing this way. If you dont have a floppy with the drivers, you can download them from the ASUS website.
