I had roing removed once and then I started getting error message with RUNDLL32.exe not responding on soft/hard reboot......

JM, You might have a virus that has infected the RUNDLL32.exe system file. There are a number of viruses that attack and use this system file. Download and run STINGER:-
vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/
other options are SPYBOT Search & Destroy and Lavasoft's AD-Aware.
Update your virus scanner. Update Windows.
Until you find which virus has caused the infection, it is difficult for me to point you in the right direction.
