Problem with XP SP2 and IE

Since I upgraded (or is it downgraded) my XP machines (a Toshiba laptop and a no name PC) to SP 2 I can't surf certain links. For example if I go to http://www.kitco.com/ and click on STYLE FILE:... under the "Latest Gold News" title I get a beep or blib sound and the browser doesn't do anything. Under Opera I can easily surf this link, and I use to before my upgrade do it with IE. I've played extensively with IE options and have had no luck so far.

SP2 automatically installs a pop-up blocker for Internet Explorer I believe. If you right click on IE in the start menu and click "internet properties" and click the privacy tab, you can either disable the pop-up blocker or add http://www.kitco.com/ to the allowed list.
