Problem with USB-IDE bridge.

hello. I have a Harddrive connected to an (external) usb-ide bridge. With the bridge came a driver cd for win 98. It always worked fine with win98. Now I am running XP and don't have drivers for my 'external harddisk'. I tried the 98 drivers but that was no success. There is no brand/type/manufacturer or web adress on the cd and no manual. I added a picture to show you the device. Does anyone have the same problem or knows what to do about this??

Go to Buslink site and download a driver for WinXP. It might solve your problem.

I also have a Buslink external hard drive and when I went to install Windows 2000 Pro, it says I need updated files for a list of things including the USB-IDE Bridge and controller, but the Buslink driver CD that came with my kit says it is good for Windows 2000. Do I just run the CD when it asks for packges?

I have a 'no-name' USB-IDE bridge that contained a 30-Gig HD that I bought for my Windows's 98 computer 3 yrs ago. I swapped this HD with the Zip drive that was already in the computer and the Zip ran perfectly. I switched it over to my new Windows ME computer and it still worked OK. After doing an Upgrade on this new computer to Windows XP it will not work! Anyone got a solution? Please respond directly to me via e-mail and if I happen to come across a driver that works I will send it to you@
Thanks
