What file? Did it ever work? Did you install the audio drivers for your sound card?

Check for the appropriate drivers for your sound card. You can find it's manufacturer name on the hardware chipset on the mother board.If it is very old mother board then you can find the details on the link below where to find the drivers. http://advancetechnology.today.com/...
