Comment:

I get "Could not perform end of disc-at-once" from Nero when I try to burn a DVD.

The DVD module is Nec with LabelFlash.
Tried to bur the ISO through Alcohol 120% - still no effect, the program reports an error again.

I tried to switch the IDE cables between the HDD and the DVD-ROM.
Same thing - it won't burn the disc.

What is causing this?
How to fix the problem?
Help, please.
Thanks!

Yes, I have.
It only brings links to forums where guys ask the same question and no body actually helps them.

Is this a driver problem?
A registry problem?
How to solve it?

I just re-read your Subject. DVD ROM drives are not burners. You won't be able to burn a DVD on a ROM drive.

@Jennifer SUMN, how do I check if DMA is enabled? The drive is a DVD burner.
Been successfully burning DVDs on it for 2 years already.

@Ghostman 1, it is two years old.

Then your description is incorrect... it is not a DVDROM!

Once I thought I was wrong, now I'm not so sure!

I would think DVDRW (Read/Write) would just about cover it.

Ok, what's wrong with my DVDRW?
Is this problem caused by the drive at all?
How to solve it?

By the way, Direct Memory Access is enabled.
Thanks!

I would start by determining what changed on the system between the time it worked and when it stopped working.

Well, I had a CDRW drive that had a disc explode in it.
I removed that other drive and now I am left with just the DVDRW that is not working.

Jumpers?

Jumpers have nothing to do with it. I would say the DVD drive lazer was damaged when the disk fragmented.

^ The disk fragmented?
What disk?
The HDD?
Is it possible to damage your DVD's laser if your HDD is not de-fragmented?

"CDRW drive that had a disc explode in it." That Disk. I made no mention of the HDD.

^ It was my CD-RW drive that had a disk explode in it, not my DVD-RW.
I dumped that CD-RW drive long time ago.

My point is that I can't burn DVD disks, I get a strange error message and I am trying to get advice why is this happening and eventually solve the problem.
