I'm having severe problems regarding the internet. If I'm able to get on line and leave my computer on, I can use it as I always have. But if I turn it off or use the
"hibernate" setting, I can't get back on the internet without going to Restore, which takes a long time.

When I try to get on the net after having the computer off, I get this message:
Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account: 'pop3.comcast.net', Server: '127.0.0.1', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F

I don't know what any of that means. I only know I can't get back on the internet without a Restore.

Without a Restore? You mean a System Restore? Your pop3 account looks dodgy, what antivirus are you using, and do you use an antispam program? Try changing 127.0.0.1 to pop3.comcast.net. Also what email program do you use?

I use Norton anti-virus, outlook express, ad aware spy-ware blaster, and "giant company spam inspector". How do I change my pop server address as you indicated above?

Open Outlook Express

Click Tools > Accounts

Under the 'Mail' tab, double click 'pop3.comcast.net'.

Click the 'Servers' tab.
Change 'Incoming mail (POP3):' from 127.0.0.1 to 'pop3.comcast.net' minus the quotes.

Then do a send/recieve.
