problem with playing video

hi,
i have download a movie file .avi; somehow when i open it with DIVX player... i got this error message:

The video file you are opening includes audio data that is not recognized by the divx player.

the file contains the following type of data:

audio data: tag 8192

you might need to download new codec to listen to the audio

i got the picture, but it doesnt play any sound. i download the divx codec and xvid and it still doesnt play anysound. is there any idea? the other people said it works fine. please help...

Tag 8192 = AC3 codec. Just google for it.

I had the same problem. It was actually pretty hard to find, even on google. Go here http://www.moviecodec.com/download/codecs.shtml
On that list you will see "tag 2000/8192", to the right you see a link for "ac3filter_0_70b.exe". Just run that and your problem should be solved.
