The system was configured with several user account. All users have samiliar programs installed. The problem is if logon with one specific account, the system will not have enough resource and cause the system switch to safe mode when open programs like Outlook or Word. No problem at all with other accounts. Any help appreciated!

Log in as the specific user search C: for Normal.dot, you may not find it if you don't go into more advanced options and check Search system folder,Search hidden files and folders,Search Subfolders.Delete all and every file that show up.Restart the system, log in as the specific user and see if it happens again.GoodLuck

Found the files and deleted them but didn't solve the problem. What are these files? One more thing, If I disable ccApp in the Startup, the system got improved in that Word wouldn't cause the problem but Outlook still did. Thanks

There are two basic types of files used in Word. One is a .doc, which stands for Document. The other is a .dot, which stands for Document Template. With Word, you use a template to create documents.Normal.dot template contains the basic layout and helps shape any documents created from this template. All documents are based on a template in Word! Whether it's from the normal.dot (master template) or some customized template you've created.
Concerning ccApp.exe this is the common hosting application that is used by Norton AntiVirus. If ccApp is disabled, then Auto-Protect and Email Scanning will not run

Thanks Sabertooth,
I post another message which related to the same problem just to catch other experts attention. leave it here if you are still looking my case:
On my XP system, if logon with one of the account, the display mode option can be chose from 640x800 to higher mode but other accounts start from 800x600 to higher. what could be the reason? Thanks

There may be a software, game or program that
requires that resolution installed by that specific user..
