Problem with Nero 5.5

I bought a DVD/Cdrw combo drive {SONY CD-RW CRX800-E} for a laptop IBM a20m. The DVD works perfect. For the Cdrw I installed Nero 5.5 and every time when I try to make a music CD it doesn't show the file where the music is located. I have to change the Files of Type to ALL FILES {*.*} to be able to see the music file. When I drag or when I select the songs it shows a message saying: "Unexpected file format". I have used nero before with other computers and I'm always able to see all the files. Would it be because there is something wrong with the new drive? If anyone knows I'll appreciate any help. Thanks.

what type of music format are you trying to burn onto your cds? and are you using nero, or nero express?

LOL thats cause your are opening the files in the wrong place. From where you are trying to open your music files, thats for opening previous sessions of nero, or opening a .cue file, an iso etc etc...
You have to create a compilation, when you start nero, there should be a window that pops, titled "New Compilation". Look on the left of this window, and choose "Audio-CD", then click on "New".
Voila its that easy !

I'm using nero express I just tried what I was told to do above and and it still doesn't show any of my music files. Thanks anyways.
