problem with jpeg pics

can anyone please help,ive resently just formatted my pc,and ive always used jasc paint shop to open up my pics,but now they wont open up,keep getting an error saying jpg not valid win32 application.also when downloading a pic it saves as a bitmap.ive tried clearing temp internet files but still no look,ive never had this problem before,can someone please help.

when you first start paintshop pro for the first time it prompts you what files to associate with paintshop pro.

Try un-installing paintshop and then re-installing it.

When the file association window appears associate jpegs with paintshop.

If you happen to be using AOL it will only save as bitmap unless you have the never compress graphics button ticked. For version 8 you find it in settings, preferences, internet properites, AOL browser.

God knew I couldn't be a pioneer, that's why he gave me a computer!
