Hi:
I have an ADSL connection (Alcatel Speed Touch Home) through PPoE (the default windows xp protocol, not Winpoet or other extra software). No problems at all with the connection when used in a single computer, but having 2 computers in my home, i have had problems trying to share the connection between pcs.
I connect the ADSL modem to pc1 and connects to the internet with dialup. The second pc is connected to pc1 through a network cable (thus pc1 has 2 NIC, while the second pc has 1 NIC). I have no problems with this connection since i can share documents between computers. BUT, in the second pc, i CANT OPEN certain pages from internet (altavista, and others), and i cant access my POP3 server. BUT (and this is the ¿? in this matter), pc1 can reach those servers, AND if i connect the second pc directly to the ADSL modem and dial up my internet connection, i can access the servers i cant reach when sharing the connection.
I'm not using any firewall or similar software.
Thanks in advance

Hi:
Sally, i would consider your option.
Michael, thanks for the link: IT SOLVED THE PROBLEM.
Sally: forget about the router.
Flavio
