When I try to save a picture from any site, in the "save picture as" option, the save window in explorer doesnt show the name of the picture rather it shows only "untitled" as the file name to be saved and gives me only one extension option to use which is bmp even though I could see in the site page that the picture had a name and its extension is .jpg. I reinstalled explorer 6 and installed its service pack but no use. I also installed the XP service pack 1.

Further more, when I use the thumbnail view in the Windows explorer where there are some internet pages saved with .mht extension, I am supposed to see a preview to those pages but this doesnt happen. They keep as icons while the .jpg pictures are previewed normally. When I click on a .mht file to open it I get a message "windows cant find the file specified" even though it is the same file I clicked over. After 2 minutes the file - internet page- finally opens.

Any ideas
Thanks

William, The usual solution to your first problem (par. 1) is to delete your Temporary Internet Files. More info at this link.
