Problem with Hibernation andStandby

Hi,
I've got a problem going into Hibernation and going into Standby. The system logs display the following message: \Device\ACPIEC: The embedded controller (EC) hardware returned data when none was requested. This may indicate that the BIOS is incorectly trying to access the EC without syncronizing [sic] with the OS. The data is being ignored.
What can I do to solve the problem? I've got an Compaq Evo N1050V
