Hi there. I have a problem with my Thrustmaster Firestorm gamepad. I've had it for at least 4 years. It has always worked fine on all games on XP but last week it suddenly started playing up on Pro Evolution Soccer. The players were all running one way and I couldn't stop it. It was as though the D-pad was being pressed even though I wasn't pressing anything. The buttons wouldn't work at all. I've noticed that when I try and configure it on XP it works for a few seconds then comes up with error and says the gamepad cannot be detected. I've tried it on one other game and it works for a while then starts playing up again. Does it sound like the gamepad has finally had it or could it be some other issue?

Sounds to me like the gamepad has finally had it. But have you tried reseating the connector?

I have the same pad and the same problem. I downloaded the calibration program from their website and it fixed problem. Insanity is doing the same thing over & over & expecting different results. Now unplug it & wait a few minutes & plug it back in and see if it works
