problem with aoe2

everytime i try to play aoe2:aoc on the internet i can get into a room and the host starts and all but at the "now loading" screen it just freezes. if i bring up task manager it shows that the game is not responding. if any1 knows what the problem is, plz help.

WindowsXp has certain issues about some games, including aoe. Try playing aoe on the net on windows98, ad you wil see that it works. windows xp is designed for multimedia, programming, and entertainment, and windows 98 has great game support. you choose, or you could have them both
