Comment:

Whenever I try to shut down my notebook, this a not responding dialog would appear. Apparently, the program that is not responding is this executable file "wupdate.exe". Has anyone experienced this problem, and is there any way to fix it?

My OS is WinXP.

YEp, this is is the Windows Updater! Go to Windows Update and download the latest update to the updater. This will resolve the problem!

I was under the impression that the update command was WUPDMGR.exe
