You need to change it to run in compatibility mode. I changed mine to Windows ME and it runs just fine.

I run XP Pro on a Dell Inspiron 8100 and it runs ok without copatibility mode, using Autocad Architectural Desktop 2000. AFAIK this is the same as acad2000 with bolt on bits.

I do disable all auto updates, all pointless services and all bloated features in XP though (use classic interface, no animations etc)

It is set up with a FAT32 filesystem but the same prog runs with NT4 as well on another machine.

Same prog did run ok under Win98 and ME.

Post your config details and I will see if I can think of something.

I'm trying to install Autocad2000 to WInXP but it says: AUTOCAD2000 not installed in WIN XP PROFESSIONAL EDITION, because "...wrong os. Autodesk sistem support only version NT, WIN95,WIN98..", what can I do? Please help me...

i cannot find the compatibility mode in the installation of autocad 2000 on xp, can someone help me by explaining to me how to find this.
