Problem w/ a virus

Hi about a week ago i got a virus trying to get a password to a game, when all of a sudden a bunch of pop-ups came across the screen. My desktop background was changed and read: SYSTEM STOPPED! and an annoying sirun began to sound.

This is when I bought anti virus software, it didnt help b/c the desktop is still there.

I cannot change the background the virus locked me out of it. I also can't get to my task manager.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!

The best bet for good virus help is the "Security and Virus" forum listed on the left....see it?

Moral of the story Chuck0300... Get a legal copy of the game and you wouldn't have to try for a hack.

Lessons learnt the hard way are not easily forgotten.

Why not first try a simple system restore to before your PC messed up?
