I'm having a problem starting up my computer. I turn it on, and a black screen shows up and says that "Failure to start" and gives me the options of "Safe mode" "Safe mode with Networking" "Safe mode with command prompt" "Restart to last sucssessful boot" and "Start up normally"
I have chosen at least each item twice with no avail. Start normally goes to the loading screen and the same screen from before comes up. As well as everything else, in their own ways. So I turned off my computer, and opened it up, looking to see if anything was loose. And I'm not really big into computers but I can tell if something isn't right inside. And nothing seemed out of place to me. So I continued with my day.

if you can get an XP pro disc off anyone, you could try a repair install and won't lose any personal stuff, just the critical up-dates.
Hopefully my advice will help you...Please post back with your results....thanks
