You have to configure the incoming and outgoing mail server of your e-mail provider.
E.g. for gmail, you have to use this:
Hotmail Incoming Mail Server (POP3) - (logon using Secure Password Authentification - SPA, mail server port: 995)

Hotmail Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) - (SSL enabled, port 25)

thank you for your reply, I sort of half tried this ,but for some starnge reason - in Incoming Mail Server (POP3) - the cell already had some info in ,so I thought I would try that first-
Im using hotmail and the cell contained " , but after I tried to send , I got this message -

The message could not be sent because the server rejected the sender's e-mail address. The sender's e-mail address was ''. Subject '', Account: 'Hotmail', Server: '', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '530 5.7.0 Must issue a STARTTLS command first', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 530, Error Number: 0x800CCC78

so the problem is - Must issue a STARTTLS ,how do I do that ?

This depents on the E-Mail client, you are using.
