|Computer power buttons rarely go bad. Explain what you mean by "TRIES TO START DOESNT". If pressing the button the 1st time triggers some sort of action from the computer (lights, fans, etc), the button is working as it should; that means something else is the problem. My guess would be the power supply. Dust is another possibility. When's the last time you opened the case & blew the dust out of it?|
EDIT: I just released you're asking about a laptop. Try blasting out the cooling vents with compressed air while the laptop is shutdown, do NOT use a vacuum due to the possibility of a static discharge.
