I have a SoundBlaster Value which came with disk that has the drivers for ME\NT and lower. The default drivers on XP don't work. The Drivers on the disk work to the point that it makes sound but it causes XP to hang and sometimes Crash or freeze.I went to Creatives site and DL the newest drivers they had for it made for XP but when installed I don't get any sound at all and I check all of my sound settings and they're not checked mute and they're on full volume.

Uninstall SoundBlaster. XP don't want you to instal it. It works great without driver.

Yeah ive got an SB Live! and it works much better without Creative software. If uninstalling the software doesnt work then you can change the PCI slot that its slotted into. That will make it redetect the card as if it is new.
