I'm tried to install Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0 and I got this error message:
"Error 25013. Failed to install assembly C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\System.Design.dll because strong name signature could not be verified. Was the assembly built delay-signed?"What sort of gobbly gook is that? How is your average guy to know if the 'assembly was delay-signed'?
I'm trying to install Microsoft's free accounting program offered lately but I need .NET framework. Should I forget about v 2.0 and download v 3?

See if this post may help

For customers that already have the .NET Framework 2.0 installed, this .NET Framework 3.0 redistributable package installs only the new Windows Vista components. This ensures that any .NET Framework 2.0-based applications work seamlessly when the .NET Framework 3.0 is installed, with no application migration or updates of any kind required.

Thanks, guys/gals(?) for your replies. Frankly, I think Microsoft should clean up the .NET Framework problems before getting serious in giving out a 'free' copy of their accounting program. I am going to tell them so.
Thanks again, but this is entirely too much work for the benefit promised.
