When I try to run Virtua Tennis, I get this error.

"There was a problem initialising DirectX graphics. Virtua Tennis will now exit. Error code reference: 0x82000004"

Please help me!

I assume that the program requires a certain level of DirectX. Have you checked the documentation and verified that you have the correct level?

Change the colour setting of your desktop to 32-bit or 16-bit from 24-bit

In the Empire Interactive web page appears this solution:

In order to solve the problem, you will need to download and install the latest driver for your graphic card from the manufacturer's website. You can find out the manufacturer and model of your graphic card by right clicking on "my computer" then left click on "properties", then click on "device manager" and on the "+" sign next to "display adapters". Also try to change the colour settings both in the game's video setup and in the desktop configuration (try 16 bits rather than 32 in both cases) and set the desktop resolution to a higher resolution than the game is to be played in.

I have the exact same problem. I got winxp with a geforce2 mx. I also had a voodoo2 card in my system then removed it. I get this same error and I also can't start up spider-man the movie aswell as GTA3. I have looked everywhere and nothing. I have read that crappy solution at the empire interactive site and it's worthless. I have the absolute latest drivers of everything, if anyone can help please do. i think I have a corrupt version of directx 8.1 that xp installed automatically, does anyone know how to get rid of it and have it installed again.
