I could not record my voice through the head phones mik. But i could hear the voice but unable to record the voice. I felt that the problem might be with the Sound and audio driver, so updated the driver too. But still the problem persists. Moreover I have changed and tried with the all possible settings for the audio settings. Can anyone help me in resolving the problem?? At present I am not sure where the problem is either with the hardware or software configurations. Is any other means for resolving the problem??

... got to "start" run (type) mmsys.cpl [press enter]

... then click "Audio" (tab) ... under "Sound recording" default device ... anything there? ... you might be able to toggle to another device if its the incorrect one (by clicking it).

... under that click on volume... is the mic selected? is slider up enough? ... if not there click "options" (tab) then click properties check/tick the mic!
