problem booting BeOs with XP help !!!!

hi,

i have downloading BeOs 5.1 personal edition.
i have making a floppy boot, but when i launght my computer, the boot disk (floppy), go, and can find the "image" on my hard disk "c:\BeOs"... i answer booting on cdrom !!! :o((((

it's a problem with windows XP family edition??? can help-me please !!!!

If you have XP pre-loaded then it is most likely that your drive is formatted as NTFS. A boot floppy cannot read this type of file system. You will need to create a FAT or FAT32 partition to put your BeOS folder into.

This is the same reason I won't convert to NTFS yet - I do not trust Windows, but I do trust my old faithful DOS boot disc, it has saved me on MANY occasions. I added CD-ROM and mouse drivers to it to make it more useful :¬)

I use BeOS too, I recently got it working on my network, I have been using BeMail ever since.
