Reply:
Open Internet explorer, click on the TOOLS menu, select the INTERNET OPTIONS menu, click on the PROGRAMS tab
Place a check mark in the box that says 'Internet Explorer should check to see if it is the default browser'
Click 'APPLY' and 'OK'
You're good to go

I have reinstalled Firefox and now when I click on a Internet shortcut on the desktop and get a message that Windows cannt find it but it comes up anyway. Seems Firefox has corrupted something.

I have reinstalled it uninstalled it and then went through the reistery and dug it all out. Problem is now that none of the Desktop Internet Icons work now even if I create a new one. Seems Firefox has screwed up my computer.

I've never heard of anyone having this problem with Firefox (why would anyone uninstall Firefox anyway?). Have you posted this on the Firefox boards? http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewf...

Try this:
In IE Tools Internet Options Programs Click on Reset Web Settings
After confirming changes, click OK to Exit Options.
