Yes, I have never ever seen a motherboard POST without memory.

P.S Maybe 20yrs ago this could be done and if someone knows of a motherboard that will POST without memory, please let me know.

well.. you need ram to start up your computer... so technically you cant do anything without ram

Yes, you need RAM. The machine will not POST until it goes through an equipment check as part of the sequence of determining if it has the capability to turn the machine over to the OS. Good luck!
