Printing In Only Black

I'm trying to set up my users (who are using Windows XP) to NOT be able to use the color cartridges in our HP Printer - i.e. I only want them to be able to print in black.

i assume the printer does not work without the colour cartridges? if it doesn't then the only thing I can suggest is setting the default to B&W and setting permissions to disallow access to printer settings. it can be done on NT and 2000 but im not sure on XP im afraid!

But it is still gonna use SOME of the color cartridge(s) when doing different shades of the grayscale printing...
