Comment:

I have an application that is running DOS, actually it is AutoHost, a DOS program that is used to enter bookings and all this stuff from the hotel. The problem is after entering all the data into the DOS window and when i entered the number allocated for printing, it can't print, though I used LPT1 for the connection of my printer. Is there any thing I can do to solve this problem?

have you tried to just use the print screen key to see if that works.

Just because you used the LPT1 port for the printer does not mean that it is still configured correctly. Your printer is physically connected to the parallel port or did you configure another port as the printer connection. If you have an actual USB connected printer (as most are these days) then it will not work in DOS.

May have to setup autoexec and config files. Some printers may need setup strings or other params even on lpt.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10
