My printer won't print at all. I reinstalled it to the computer but then the test page wouldn't print. I used the troubleshooter including using the command prompt but nothing will print at all. How can I further fix this problem, I need my printer!!!

More info needed. ie: Name, has it just stopped working? Have you been using refills... Little gems like that would help determine your problem.

It was printing up until today, so yes it did just stop working (though it hasn't been running well for a couple of weeks). We have been using refills. Advice?

You don't say what kind of refills.... If you have been using cheap generic refills to save a few bucks, then that could very well be your answer. My buddy totally ruined his printhead assembly by using the cheap non-OEM generic refills. He threw the printer away; completely gunked up the nozzles.
Good luck..

Yes, we have been using "cheap, non OEM" refills. How do I tell if my printer is in fact ready for the scrap heap versus needing some further troubleshooting?

Apart from obtaining a new cartridge and trying that, there's no real way to know.

Refilling cartridges and buying generic refills will do it every time...printers are so inexpensive these days, noit much more than the price of a new cartridge. Treat yourself to a new one, and use that mfgr's cartridges from here on. Want to sane money? Buy them on eBay!

The common cause of this problem is backed up printer jobs. Try deleting the backed up jobs by going to settings from the START menu and clicking on “ printers”. Choose the printer you’re having problems with a try deleting the backed up jobs by right clicking on the document and choosing delete. If you still have questions, contact the help desk.
