Hi, I'm having a weird problem with my printer.
when I do a cold boot, the printer spits out 1 blank paper without printing on it. This only happens at cold boot, not when I reboot. It happens at the moment when the screen goes blank and then the windows xp startup screen appears. I think it might be something with the bios, as windows is just starting up at that point.

Did this just start happening? the reason why will probably never be known. However you could always try a system restore, or if that does not help un-install the printer software and start out fresh with an updated driver if one is available from the HP web site.

euh, it started from the moment the printer was installed. I don't think system restore will help, as it is a new computer, pre-installed with windows xp home (up to date)
the computer shows bios info, and at the moment that disappears, the printers starts, so I think this happens before windows starts loading, or due to the fact that windows is loading. I didn't try it with a bootmanager to see if the same happens when linux is loaded, as my dad doesn't want me to 'mess around' with the computer.
