my computer is on a network, the printer everyone uses is hooked up to my machine, i noticed when someone is printing, internet navigation goes slow. ps. i wasnt sure where to post so i'll post in the network section also thanks for your help

When you are sharing your printer, the printing from a remote machine will take priority. Set your printer properties to spool print jobs and start printing afer documents are spooled. If their (other) systems are set to print directly to the printer, they will send a stream of data to the printer continuously untill the print buffer is full. If you have the docs spool first, the data stream will take less time. I hope that makes sense. I know what I am trying to say, but it isn't as easy to type it out.
Under printer properties, Under the Advanced tab, set printer to Spool Print Documents and Print after document is spooled.
There will still be an interruption of your bandwidth, but not as long as before.
