Please forgive me but I am a retired 76 old senior citizen with little knowledge of computers, computer software, etc. I have a Epson Stylus color 600 printer and have a problem. My computer goes through the complete excercise of printing but the finished product shows no print. What could I possibly be doing wrong? Can someone please help me.

The printer management program should have a test page section as well as a head clean section. As the other post suggested, you just may be out of ink although it is a rare occasion that all colors run out at the same time. Does it have a black cart. as well, and if so, does it work?

It still did not print out my document even though it seems to go through all the processes. I upgraded to a computer with an XP operating system from windows 98. Is it possible that I need new software and/or a new driver?

It may be that there is a later driver for your printer, and you could check on the Epson web page for a download, but if XP installed it OK then it should be getting the correct signal from Windows to print correctly. I assume it does show up without any error symbol or message in the Printer and Fax folder. If so, the problem is with the printer. A quick check would be to remove it and let XP re-install. Verify that you have the downloaded driver or the original CD or floppy that came with the printer.

Do the ink cartridges have any kind of removable seal? I'm not sure about epson. I have a HP and they do have a tear-off seal that needs to be removed.

When our school systems' Epson printers would do this, printing blank pages, we ended up replacing the printers. New cartridges did not solve the problem, head cleaning did not work most of the time, and Epson tech support did not have an answer. So we bought HP printers...
