Recently my Cannon BJC-2110 stopped printing mid page and hasn’t printed since, Win XP says the printer is working properly and print manger just says “printing” in status window, if I press the test print button on the printer it prints the test pattern just fine, it’s connected via a USB cable and I don’t have another PC to check it on. Any suggestions?

P.S. I have had printer for 3 years and this is the first time I’ve had trouble with it. Originally used with Win ME but switched to XP about 2 and a half months before break down, ran fine under XP up to that point.

This may not be your problem but the other day I was messing with Services and used my printer later and it did not work, after hours of checking things (I have a new printer) realized that I had disabled PRINT SPOOL in services you may check that out.

Have you replaced the cartride in the three years? Unless you're getting a warning message about the cartridge from the printer that's probably not it. But there should be some diagnostic tools with the printer.

Try uninstalling the printer through the control panel. Disconnect printer from the cpu. Then reconnect and let XP reinstall the printer. It may work.
