I am having a problem where my printer for some reason will only print when I first boot up my computer and it will also only print my first job. If I say to print any other time without shutting down first and then hitting print it ends up giving me the out of paper error on my screen but not on the printer itself. I have an HP lazerjet 4 plus. Its used to work perfectly fine but now all of the sudden it just started doing this.

Thanks for your help,

Steve

See if there are new drivers for it. I doubt it. This is an OLD printer -- I have one, and they're subject to quirks. Also check your port in device manager, and check your setting in properties. HTH

Also try re-installing the printer software. Sometimes all you need is a fresh install
