I have a HP Deskjet 895 Cxi with the correct drivers installed. Each time I want to print I am forced to go to device manager, printer port driver, port settings, and then I have to change my settings to never use interrupt. Then when I want to print again, I have to repeat the same process and instead click "use any interrupt." I have to switch between these settings after each print. I also noticed that my printer prints backwards. (Last page first) I have the printer connected to a regular printer port and I have the smae problem with my older HP printer.
This problem only occurred after I upgraded to XP.

Are these the drivers supplied by HP? The Deskjet 895 Cxi is one of the few that HP have supplied dedicated XP drivers for. See their Website.

to disable print last page first..

go to the printer folder in the Control Panel then go to the properties for your printer and uncheck print last page first.. or there is a option like (front to back/back to front)

Also, try to play around the printer settings in there to configure your printer, like enable/disable print spooling.. etc..

My neighbor has a 10 yrs old printer and I played around with the settings to make the printer print the documents correctly.
