I have installed Windows XP and it has found my printer. I have installed the Windows 2000 driver for my Workcentre Xi70c but it will not print.
Any ideas as to why?

Beta software! Install at your own risk.
Beta's are for technophiles. People who own computers specifically for the purpose of playing with them and learning from their experience. I hope you aren't DEPENDing on getting the printer to work, 'cause if the printer driver wasn't included as part of the XP operating system, it's way too soon to expect Microsoft to rescue you.
The Windows 2000 driver is supposed to be used with Windows 2000. Show me a URL where it says to install a Windows 2000 driver on an XP OS.

Actually, Dr. Zhivago, HP tech support told me to do just that about 5 mins ago. Since there are no HP drivers available for XP yet (I have an LJ3100) and since XP doesn't include the drivers for this model on the CD, I have had to order a W2000 version of the driver, it's SUPPOSED to at least get me printing. I'll have to wait for the actual XP drivers in order to scan and fax though.
The URL I don't have at the mo, but if you go to the "drivers" section of the HP site, choose for example my 3100 model for XP OS, it will take you to a page that tells users to download the 179.5 version of the software (which is, in effect, the win2000 version) and to basically ignore the "certified" error that comes up during printer setup.
Does this actually work? Dunno - I have to wait for the CD so I can do a "clean" install.
Not sure if this is also happening for other printer brands, but HP is definitely scrambling to get XP version drivers out....

We have a Lex WinWriter 150c that came free with our computer... However, We cannot find drivers for the printer for Windows XP! Where should i go to get some?? Can I get some drivers??
