Prefetch HELP !!!!

I deleted all the files in the Prefetch folder and now they won't come up again. I checked the registry and the Enable Prefetcher is set to "3" so Prefetch should work. But it doesn't !!! Help !!!

you probably disabled the "task scheduler" service. start->run->services.msc right click task scheduler, click on properties...and set it for automatic.
