when I was little, my cuz once made a menu on my old mech. then the computer would start, b4 the os would boot, a menu would show, and you could choose between different dos programs, os's, anything that would boot from dos. 1st of all.... how do I do that?
2nd ..... can I do it on my newer computer witch has xp pro corp?
if anything I'd like to do it on my laptop witch had ms dos, (windows 98 se)

I hate to tell you this, but...the desktop and the start menu are the new version of what you used to do in DOS. Even if you could bring up a menu of programs prior to windows loading, selecting a program would still require Windows to load to run the program. If you're talking about running multiple operating systems, then yes, you can set Windows to bring up a boot menu (DOS-like) and choose which OS to boot into.
