When I attempt to log into my SBC Yahoo! DSL on windows xp home, my login password is given extra letters. for example, the dialog pops up, user name and then password, my regular password, which I choose to store, has extra dots added on. I tried to copy and paste the password, but it appears that it is not possible. I was wondering whether this is normal?

Which dsl modem? Let windows remember passwords? SBC IE browser? Parental controls enabled? Does in fact log you into SBC without problems? If you have 2Wire home portal monitor have you updated to the newest firmware? Yahoo mail login?

I wouldnt worry about it if you can log on fine. Windows XP adds extra dots to logon passwords to disguise the number of character in the passwords. Makes gussing the password that litle bit harder.
